moonspell: Moonspell is a Portuguese black metal/gothic metal/dark metal band with death/doom metal elements, formed in 1989 as Morbid God. After renaming themselves Moonspell in 1992, they released their first EP Under the Moonspell in 1994, a year before of the release of their first album Wolfheart. The band quickly gained status and became one of the most recognizable metal bands from Portugal.[1] Moonspell reached the Portuguese top first with their album Sin/Pecado, and were, along with Metallica and Iron Maiden, the only metal band to reach the first place of the Portuguese charts after the release of their album, Memorial, in 2006.[2] With Memorial, Moonspell also became the first Portuguese heavy metal band to have a record certified gold status.[3] They are also very popular in Germany, where Memorial entered in 68th in the Top 100 Chart.

Leaves' Eyes: In 2003, Leaves' Eyes were formed in Germany. Leaves' Eyes is combined with a Norwegian female-fronted vocalist (former vocalist of a German gothic metal band - Theatre of Tragedy) Liv Kristine Espenæs Krull with Germany’s death metal band Atrocity. However in November 2007, Leaves’ Eyes announced that both Christian Lukhaup (bass guitarist of Atrocity and Leaves' Eyes) and Moritz Neuner (drummer & percussionist of Atrocity and Leaves' Eyes) have left the band due to personal reasons. [FAREWELL PROUD MEN!] By January 2008, Leaves' Eyes have informed their avid listeners about their new band mates. Former drummer of black metal bands: Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, and Testament - Nick Barker becomes the newest drummer for both Leaves' Eyes and Atrocity. Liv Kristine Espenæs Krull is no longer the only woman in Leaves’ Eyes. Former bass guitarist of metal bands: Pain, Enemy of the Sun, and Eyes of Eden - Alla Fedynitch also becomes the bassist for both Leaves' Eyes and Atrocity.
